What is the Al-Husen Method?
A guided Quran memorization method that starts with meaning. Each ayah gets a keyword icon on a stepping-stone map, then you learn it by connecting translation, sight, sound, tracing, and review in one place. The goal is not only to repeat the words, but to know what each ayah means and where it belongs in the surah.
Do I need to know Arabic?
No. The method begins with per-word translation, so you build meaning before you build sound. Translation, transliteration, and audio sit next to the Arabic on every ayah.
What age groups can use this?
From about age 7 upward. The method has been taught to thousands of families since 2009, and the interface stays calm enough for adults studying alone. Children, parents, and solo learners use the same lesson surface.
How much time do I need each day?
The rhythm is one ayah a day: understand it, place it on the map, listen, trace, then review. After every five ayahs, you look away and recall the five stones from memory, with neither the Mushaf nor the map in front of you.
Can an app really replace a teacher?
No app should replace a teacher. Al-Husen supports the practice between sessions by keeping the ayah's meaning, audio, map, and review rhythm together. A human teacher still has a place, especially for tajwid and correction.
How fast can I memorize?
Your pace is your own. Al-Husen is built for lasting recall, not racing through pages: you learn what the ayah means, attach it to its place on the map, and review until both the wording and meaning stay with you.
Does this work for long surahs, or only short ones?
Both. A surah map exists for long surahs as well as short ones, and the method is the same whether a surah is five ayahs or a hundred: one stone per ayah, walked one a day. Short surahs are simply where most people begin.
Can I track my child's progress?
Yes. Practice time, ayahs memorized, lessons in progress, and review intervals are all visible on the Progress page. Achievements live there, quietly, not inside the viewer.
Is it really free? Do I need to install anything?
Free during open beta, with no credit card. It runs in your browser: nothing to download, no app store. Selected short surahs from Juz Amma stay free after launch, and your progress carries forward into the full product; nothing is reset when the beta ends.
